keep citing that the definition of marriage has always been that of a union
between one man and one woman for the entire 6,000 years of recorded human
history. First, your starting premise that both the Earth and the universe are
only 6,000 years old makes you less intelligent than a first grader, so no one
should continue to listen to you after that idiotic statement. Second, marriage
has been around for at least 250,000 years. It was originally arranged by
parents of the bride and groom for purposes of property exchanges and
strengthening of neighboring tribes. Third, the modern definition of marriage
is only about 200 years old. Before the 1700's, the most common
form of marriage was between one man and a whole fucklot of women. Third, if
marriage was always between one man and one woman, then why was Utah forced to
outlaw polygamy in order to become a state as the U.S. became more and more
hostile toward that fairly common practice? (Why was it that Mitt Romney's
family fled to Mexico
in 1884, again?)
And another thing, you
bible-thumping jackanapes, since you love your holy book so fucking much (at
least the parts you agree with) that you start holy wars resulting in the
slaughter of millions of people who don't blindly agree you, how did you miss

Senators are facing a recall election.

allow 6 Republicans to run as Democrats to force them into primaries, delaying

I find it humorous that the
people who deny the concept of evolution because they say they can’t see it
happening are the same bunch of people who believe a mysterious magical sky
fairy, whom they also can’t see, created everything and controls their lives.
You can’t use the same set of parameters for opposite arguments. I can’t see
it, so it isn’t true/I can’t see it, so it is true.

And before anyone tries to say
I’m using the same parameters for evolution vs. god (I can’t see it, so it is
true/I can’t see it, so it isn’t true.), you would be mistaken. Because we can see evolution. Both in fossil records and in real
time with viruses and insects that evolve to resist our poisons that once had
killed them. This is because viruses and insects have much shorter life spans
and are able to evolve at a much quicker pace. Just because religious people
deny the truth right in front of their faces in order to continue to promulgate
ignorant, made up stories from thousands of years ago, doesn’t mean science
does.

In Malaysia, former President

Haynes, Jay Bybee and John Yoo who crafted their legal justification for what
had previously always been prosecuted as torture, were the defendants against
charges that human rights violations were systematically carried out under
orders of the Bush administration. The defendants were not present, but
international war crime trials do not require them to be. The trial was run
according to the standards set by the Nuremberg Trials that convicted war
criminals after World War II.
Professor Gurdial Singh Nijar, the head of the
prosecution said, “The tribunal was very careful to adhere scrupulously to the
regulations drawn up by the Nuremberg courts and the International Criminal
Courts”.
On Friday, 5/11/12, a tribunal
delivered a unanimous guilty verdict.
The United States is bound by
international law, the Nuremberg Charter and the International Criminal Courts,
so this conviction will stand beyond Malaysia. It is up to individual countries
whether or not to carry out the verdict. Bush has already cancelled a trip to Switzerland
, citing fear of riots, though he may not be wanting to test the international
arrest warrant. He may have been warned about the arrest of Chilean dictator
Augusto Pinochet in London in 1998.
Maybe the next time he writes a
book (has a book written for him), he may not be so quick to brag about how
proud he was for committing the illegal torture of waterboarding – and boldly
proclaim he’d do it again.
