Linkin' Blog

This post will be mostly links to other articles and videos. Am I being lazy? No. They’re just a bunch of topics I would normally link to in a regular post. But by the time I get around to covering all the topics, these links will be out of date. Or, they’re links that cover a topic as well or better than I could. Or, they’re miscellaneous. Or, I’m being lazy.

Don’t worry, I’m still angry at right-wing fascism masquerading as patriotism. And I will continue to metamorphose my accumulated anger into your education and entertainment.

So, here you go.

Enjoy…

The Republicans added "No fucking way will there ever be an exception for abortion, even if you want to be raped or if you'll die, stupid women who are stupid. Shut up and fix my supper," to the official GOP platform - promptly bringing the Republican party back several decades into the past.

Is anyone else noticing a pattern...?
It's only 'class warfare' to the right-wing when the middle class fights back.
It's only 'income re-distribution' to Conservatives when the wealthy have to pay their fair share.
It's only 'dirty politics' to Republicans when Democrats fight back.
It's only a 'war on women' to Republicans when Democrats point out the Republican war on women.
It's only 'playing the race card' to Conservatives when Liberals point out Conservatives are playing the race card.

The pattern is that Republicans are whimpy, whiney little bitches that can't take what they dish out. Or, they're hypocritical bitches that want it all their way only. Or, they’re just lying bitches pretending to be perennial victims for political sympathy. Please help me figure out which one.

Hmm. I was wondering, just how many women have been “consensually raped” as opposed to “forcibly raped.” I think I'll email a Conservative, pro-life politician. They'll know. They did rewrite the definition after all. I just hope their answer is “legitimate.”

The RNC is holding their "We Built This!" themed event at the Tampa Bay Times Forum arena. The Tampa Bay Times Forum was built with 62% government funds. Republicans: ha ha ha.

It is actually unfair to single out Todd Akin for what he said. The fact of the matter is, the whole of the Republican Party believes this. And they have for decades. They fear women, so they need to control them. Republican Vice Presidential candidate, Paul Ryan has even co-signed an anti-abortion bill with Akin (plus 37 more, plus another 57 more anti-choice votes in his 20-year career.). Republicans just made it a part of the official GOP platform. They are only pretending to be outraged by Akin's comments so they can throw him under the bus to get the heat off of the Party. ‘See? We’re outraged at this guy’s isolated opinion, just like everyone else!’ Republicans hate it when someone in their Party lets their true ideals bubble to the surface where other people can see them.

This situation is akin (get it?) to the NFL coming down on the New Orleans Saints bounty program as if it isn’t standard practice among the entire organization. People would be outraged, so they throw the Saints under the bus to pretend it isn’t the norm. ‘See? We took care of that isolated incident!’ In light of just how brain damaged  football players become (comparable to IED explosions ), true knowledge of this bounty program is something they don’t want to add to the pile.

In case there were any questions to the Republican plan to fuck America for the sole purpose of making President Obama look bad so they win the competition in November…

The Republicans keep talking about how they love Ayn Rand and her Atlas Shrugged novel, as well as her other novels. Does no one else find it as amazingly stupid to cull real-world fiscal policy ideas from fictitious characters in fictitious books as I do? Thankfully, yes.
Apparently, Republicans also get their foreign policy ideas from Team America.

Fuck, yeah.

Republicans keep calling Obama a socialist, spreading the wealth around.

America has:
The lowest corporate tax rates in 60 years.
The highest recorded corporate profits in history.
Worker wage rates at average 1968 levels.
Over 8% unemployment.

For a socialist, he sure fucking sucks at it.

And for all the right-wing’s fear-mongering lies about President Obama revealing top secret information concerning the bin Laden raid (did I mention they were lies?), it was the FOX “News” scumfucktards that actually did it. I hope those lying, fear-mongering, hypocritical scumbag pieces of goat shit at FOX all burn in the imaginary hell they so dearly believe. I wonder if Valerie Plame  has anything to say about the right-wing actually being the ones putting Americans in harm’s way all the time, contrary to the chest-thumping Conservatives’ narrative?

Goddamn fascists.

Religious fundamentalists believe god sent Katrina to smite the sinners of New Orleans. And that was just a random smiting. God seems to be sending Isaac to a specific location on a specific weekend. Tampa during the Republican convention. Just an observation based on inerrant fundamentalist logic.

One last thing.

Hey, Obama. Bin Laden is dead. Congratulations. What the fuck are we still in Afghanistan for? As many troops were killed in the past two years (1,000) as the previous eight (1,000). Honor the troops by bringing them home and saving their lives. And honor American citizens by spending our money on us. We sort of could use it.

And there you have it. Linking Blog. At some point in the future, I will do a blog of all the posters I have been randomly pulling off the World Wide Web that I find interesting, informative or amusing. There are a bunch.

(Is it even still called the World Wide Web? Get off my lawn!)

Good day.
