Lollapalooza

These are a few topics buzzing around in my head that are too small to book their own venue. They’ve banded together to put on a big show.

BYOB

Enjoy…

Senators:
Kay Bailey Hutchinson (R-TX), Saxby Chambliss (R-GA), Thad Cochran (R-MS), John Cornyn (R-TX), Mark Kirk (R-IL), Rob Portman (R-OH), Joe Lieberman (I-CT, recently joined conservative AEI)

Congress Members:
Mary Bono Mack (R-CA), Jerry Lewis (R-CA), David Valadao (R-CA), John Barrow (R-GA), Johnny Isakson (R-GA), Gregg Harper (R-MS), Lee Terry (R-NE), Steve Pearce (R-NM), Bob Gibbs (R-OH), Kirsti Noem (R-SD), Michael McCaul (R-TX), Paul Ryan (R-WI)

These Republicans have voted 40 times (costing taxpayers over $60 million) to repeal the constitutionally protected Affordable Care Act - Obamacare (which is already saving people millions). These Republicans, publicly, are slamming Obamacare as some sort of socialist destruction of America. These Republicans, privately, have all sent letters to the Federal Government begging for Obamacare funding. These Republicans are divisive, partisan, lying cunts.

I realize you may find this hard to believe (if you’re someone who actually believes what Republicans say), so HERE are copies of all their letters to the Federal Government begging for what they claim will destroy America.

Wake the fuck up.

P.S. - In the 11 states (and DC) where insurance companies have begun implementation of Obamacare provisions, healthcare costs are an average of 30% lower.

Family planning services, such as Planned Parenthood, saved the federal government $10.5 Billion in spending in 2010.

Family planning services, such as Planned Parenthood, prevented 760,000 abortions in 2010.

For every $1 the federal government spent on contraceptives in 2010, the taxpayers saved $5.68.

Republicans are fiscally responsible, anti-abortion Christians. Which is why they want to put all family planning services out of business.

Ha fucking ha.

Are you a Conservative Republican?

Do you hate socialism?

Do you feel religion doesn't have enough influence on society?

Then, have I got a selection of countries for you!

Check out Russia - where being gay is illegal.

Or how about Somalia - where there’s no government with pesky rules, and oh, boy GUNS, GUNS, GUNS! Arrh, matey!

Why not try Iran - they have a state religion.

Dubai - convicts women for being raped.

Uganda - sure hates those gay people. Homosexuality is illegal with a life imprisonment and a death penalty on deck for repeat offenders.

Saudi Arabia - doesn't let women drive.

North Korea - lets its citizens starve while spending all its money on the military.

How about Afghanistan - if a woman flees her abusive in-laws, the Taliban gets to cut off her nose and ears - just like religion says so, or so they say.

What do you say to Belize - homosexuality is punishable by 10 years in prison and gays aren't allowed to cross the border. Plus, their culture condones sexual violence against women.

So, please, choose one of these countries that fall more in line with your preferred policies and move there. I’m sure you’ll have a blast.

“The media is only as liberal as the corporations that own it. Our media is biased in one way — towards ratings. The ‘liberal media’ lie is the best narrative the status quo ever came up with. We now have a media that’s not liberal, but is terrified of being called liberal and bends over backwards time and time again to prove it’s not. I will believe the American media is liberal the day they cover an anti-war demonstration with the same ferocity they cover tea party rallies.” — John Fugelsang

Most Conservatives (especially the alleged Jesus-following ones) agree with Russian President Putin’s stance on gay people. Funny that Conservatives are always claiming that Liberals are Communists.

Ha ha! Putin’s got a gay rainbow Hitler mustache!

Republican Governors are:

*…withholding basic health benefits from millions of low-income citizens by rejecting Obamacare’s optional Medicaid expansion.

*…threatening to NOT enforce Obamacare’s basic and most popular provisions, such as: the ban on denying insurance for pre-existing conditions; the ban on lifetime caps; the ban on kicking children off coverage once they get sick; allowing children to be on their parents’ plans until age 26; etc.

*…refusing to answer their constituents’ questions about Obamacare, often making misleading statements (lying) about it.

*…openly welcoming groups that are opposing the Constitutionally protected Obamacare health plan. These anti-Obamacare groups are vastly outspending supporters with swift-boat-style campaigning, outright lying in their ads about it.

Please, Republicans, tell me more about how “pro-life” you are.

The regressive Teabag wing of the Republican Party has vowed to shut down the government if Constitutionally protected Obamacare is not defunded. Then, they think people will blame Obama for what they plan on doing.

Two years ago, when the U.S. credit rating dropped for the first time in history because of Republican obstructionism, the credit rating agencies specifically pointed to Republican obstructionism as the deciding factor.

“Compromise means doing what we want. We shut down the government because we didn’t get what we want. See what Obama did?”

Bring it on, assholes.

Ohio gun safety instructor, Terry J. Dunlap accidentally shot student, Michael Piemonte in the arm while teaching a daylong class required for a concealed carry permit.

In addition to instructing the concealed carry class, Dunlap runs a local shooting range and trains law enforcement officers how to handle firearms.

The shooting was ruled accidental. No charges were filed. Dunlap still has his job.

Fucking correct me if I’m wrong, but if you taught a driver’s ed class and you fucking accidentally ran over a student’s arm, charges of negligence at the very goddamn least would be filed. Also, you’d probably lose your job since you obviously can’t fucking do the motherfucking thing that you’re supposed to fucking do.

But hey, guns.

At least he missed the other 28 students.

Fact: It has never happened…

Let me explain something very clearly:

The Keystone XL pipeline would create a maximum of 150 permanent jobs. Its function is to transport tar sands oil from Canada directly to tanker ships in the Gulf of Mexico to be shipped and sold overseas at absolutely NO benefit to the United States of America. However, the track record of environmentally damaging oil spills is incalculable and increasing. There has been oil spilling from pipes and wells continuously for decades. And oil companies have not spent a dime improving their method of clean-up since the 60’s. They spend all their research money on new ways to drill. Not that the corporate owned media will inform you of this fact.

HERE is a list of only pipeline spills in the last 13 years. You don't need to read them all, just scroll through the impossibly long list.

HERE is a list of mostly tanker and refinery spills (some pipeline repeats from the previous list).

Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of spills continuously dumping oil. Ain't it grand?

Oh, and they haven't yet figured out how to clean tar sands oil at all.

Republicans, a bit of common sense, of which you seem to severely lack:

When you ban abortion, it doesn't go away, it just forces women into the hands of the Gosnells out there. When you ban talk of gay people, they still exist. When you ban sex education, sex still occurs; teen pregnancies increase. When you ban speaking of climate change, the seas will still rise. When you ban feeding the hungry, the hungry will still be hungry. Blocking health care kills. Blocking education produces less future profit. Blocking birth control causes more abortions and increased taxes going toward paying for them. Blocking unions causes less jobs, less productivity and more poverty. Blocking an increase in minimum wage causes more welfare recipients. Blocking jobs bills causes less jobs, fuckheads. Blocking health care for 9/11 first-responders causes our heroes to die. Blocking benefits for homeless veterans puts our heroes out on the street. Blocking common-sense gun-control kills more people. Blocking the Dream Act doesn't decrease the Hispanic population. Blocking equal pay for women causes family economic hardship.

These are all researchable, statistically calculated, undeniable facts - that you will ignore.

I've just pointed out much of what you're against. Now, I will point out what, exactly, you are for:

Subsidizing billion-dollar profit corporations. Taxpayer hand-out welfare for the rich. Which, by the way, far, far exceeds welfare for those who actually need it.

Carry on.

Local Georgia news:

In the local weekly newspaper’s opinion page, you can normally find statement after statement and letter after letter complaining how Obama is a Muslim out to destroy America and that the heathen Liberal communists in general worship gay, baby murdering devils (or some such) and hate America. And that they bet we wish for Dubya back since he did so much better than Nobama.

Over the last couple of months, I’ve noticed these very same mindless, red state Conservative Republicans start to complain about the Tea Party. The complaints increase as the weeks roll on.

Interesting times.
