The Affordable Care Act, affectionately known as “Obamacare”
was signed into law on March 23, 2010 – 3 years and 6 months ago. Pay attention
to what I just said.

Freedom of Bigotry
Before this post begins, I would like to say a few words.
Some of you may have noticed that “Mary” is often the
opposing voice in my posts. It may seem like I’m picking on her. I am not. It
just so happens that most of the males I used to have these “discussions” with
have de-friended me and blocked me on Facebook. You may remember “Richard” and
“Gomer” from way back. They are little bitches. “Mary” has bigger balls than the both
of them. I just
happen to comment on whoever posts things I think are ridiculously full of
shit, and “Mary” at the moment seems to be fulfilling that requirement the most
often.
Thanks. Now, on to the show…

History Lesson
I understand the concept of being polite. I’ve even
attempted it on occasion. But just because someone has an opinion on something,
doesn’t mean you have to accept or respect it. And it certainly doesn’t mean
that it has any validity to it. To be blatant: Hitler’s opinion on Jews. Should
we have accepted it? Respected it? Was it valid?
Some facts are not open for debate. That’s when the
spineless people who want to placate everyone really piss me off.

Bolshevik Bill
A short one today. Kind of on the lighter side of stupid.
An alternate title could be “Sparring With Idiots.” (Then again, I could title the bulk of my posts with that phrase.)
Five little words started this thread. “"Fox
News" is an oxymoron.” I’m no longer
amazed when I encounter people blindly devoted to an ideology even when not one
teensy, tiny bit if reality can support it.
And I’ve just explained why I’ve been labeled an ass.

Just a quick blogadoodle about Reagan and chemical weapons
because you mentally fucking stunted right-wing whackado’s who masturbate to
the fictional memory of Ronald Reagan are really starting to piss me the fuck off.

Facebook Case Files 5: The Mary Edition
Another collection of my misadventures through the mystical
land of Facebook. This one solely involves Mary. She says a lot of things that
are, let’s say, not quite factual. Yes, we are friends.
At least on Facebook, anyway.
Although, I can’t believe she hasn’t unfriended me, yet.
Wonders never cease.

Evolutiony
Did you know that if science contradicts your agenda, you
may just ignore it?
Unfortunately, this happens all the time on many topics
spanning all social and political ideologies. Whether your interest is in
vaccines or climate change or gun control or alternative medicine or, as in
this case, the evolution of omnivorous humans, people seem to come up with a
predetermined conclusion and work backward to prove their opinion.
A friend posted this picture and article. I pointed out that
it is pseudoscience.
More words happened.

Chicago Confidential
Ah, the old “Sensational, Misleading Right-Wing News
Headline That No Right-Winger Ever Actually Reads Beyond” trick. They always
fall for it.
But hey, whatever. Fuckin’ Obama. That Christian, Muslim,
Atheist, Kenyan, Indonesian, Hawaiian, completely inept, genius mastermind,
Chicago thug, slick politician is coming for your guns by only signing laws
that relax restrictions on them. And none of all those FOX “News” talking
points contradict each other. Especially the ones that contradict each other.

Genesis 2
This blog may make it seem as though my entire internet
presence is that of confrontation. It is not. It’s just what this blog is
about.
Here is a light-hearted pseudo-confrontational discussion I had with Peter where we really agree on the topic.

Armchair Judgment
Everybody loves judging what other people say about George
Zimmerman. And they love to complain that other people are judging.
I was judged as judging when I wasn’t judging, I was just
facting.
Nobody cared. They judged themselves to be correct.

Penis-Brain vs. Vagina-Brain
I
fully understand that women defending women isn’t a situation into
which a male should insert himself. And no matter what, I look
like a dick here.
That was my mistake: forgetting the “vast difference in perspective.”
When people blindly, militantly and uncompromisingly draw a line in the sand, there is no use in debating. It’s like when saying we should have background checks to prevent convicted criminals from obtaining guns and the gun nuts insist you just want to take their guns. It’s irrational. And untrue. And useless to continue talking.
I agreed with the sentiments of this person’s blog post. It is thoughtful. I just also happened to think it was kind of extreme in saying that if a boy continues knocking over a girl’s wooden block castle and no parent ever stops him, he will become a rapist. Of course, that translated into me not understanding rape culture in America. Because I have a penis.

Trayvon Martin Found Guilty!
Sanford, FL, Saturday, July 13 – Knock, knock! Who’s there?
Justice. Justice was served today as a guilty verdict was reached in the
Trayvon Martin murder case. After a long period of ignoring this case until
community activists shamed the justice system into action with an unrelenting
publicity campaign, the Trayvon Martin case was brought to trial.

Deep Fried Southern Racism
Yeah, some more racism. Served up Paula Deen style.
I’m sure my friend wasn’t completely aware of the full story
since he was away on vacation when it unfurled in the media. That’s why I tried
explaining what was really going on.
But the part that actually ‘bunged’ me up was what his friend said.
White people defending their need to act racist without
thinking that they’re acting racist is somewhat humorous.
Yet, not.
Oh, and in this post (as I did in
Doors of Racist Perception and any others dealing with racism), I will not use the term “N-Word” when “nigger” is appropriate. Because I am a fucking
adult.

Humble Christian Soldier
This one’s a good one. Well, from my perspective.
I said something – granted, it was a little blunt (and misunderstood) – and a Christian, looking down at me from atop his righteous mountain, smugly tried to smite me.

Dissonant Encounters of the Cognitive Kind
I do not understand why women, LGBTQ people or any other
minority would ever choose to be in the Republican Party. I hear this reason
excuse all the time: “We are not a group of people with a singular mind. We
don’t all vote the same way. We are a diverse group with many ideas and
personal beliefs. Don’t try to put us all in the same group. We may not agree
with everything they represent, but we agree with many of their policies. That is
why we are Republican.”
Bull. Fucking. Shit.

I don’t always immediately post a Tweet when I think of it. Sometimes, I’ll put them aside to post later. Some of the neglected Tweets have slowly built up into a little mountain that I’ll never get around to posting. Some topics are a little out of date, some are timeless. Either way, I’m going to clear out my unposted Tweet collection here.

Real Reasons
Republicans love to
hate on President Obama. He’s further to the right than their lord and savior,
Ronald Reagan, but that’s not what’s stuck up their ass about him.
Yeah, it’s because
he’s black.
If it wasn’t, then why
do they hate all of their own policies immediately after Obama endorses them?
Why do they attack policies that were developed and pushed by Republicans for
years, decades?

Deception Accomplished
We recently had the ten-year anniversary (March 19, 2003) of
being lied into illegally invading and occupying the sovereign nation of Iraq.
This invasion occurred for no reason we can yet discern, which resulted in more
American deaths than all the terrorist attacks on America combined. We now know
(well, some of us always knew) that Bush never went after Osama bin Laden, for the
purpose of keeping the fear-drums beating for more war, as Republicans do.
“Hey, bin Laden’s still loosie-goosie, we gotta invade Iraq,
cuz nukuler weapons! Freedom! ‘Merica!” – Georgie W.
Here’s a short conversation I had after the successful
mission to kill Osama bin Laden, approved by President Obama, was announced.
Then some related material afterward.

Our Gun-Grabbing President
It has become clear to me that the President does not
believe in the Constitution. Or at the very least, the Second Amendment. He has
said and done many things that would restrict a citizen’s Constitutional right
to bear any arms to which they feel entitled.
Let’s take a look at some of those things now:

Explosive Hypocrisy
Due to small
government (for corporations), a deregulated corporate sector and austerity
measures, an uninspected fertilizer plant in West, Texas exploded in a blast
that could be felt 50 miles away and registered as a 2.1-magnitude earthquake.
Killing so far 14, injuring approximately 200, with 60 still unaccounted for,
it is being called 'the worst American industrial accident in decades."

Time Warp!
While researching things, as I do, I came across two
speeches by President Harry S. Truman. One was from when he was running for
re-election in 1948. The other was at the end of his second term in 1952 (when
he said he wasn’t going to run for a third).
All I have to say is, Holy Fucking Shit. These speeches could have been given by President Obama TODAY with some minor topical updates. Does NOTHING change?
Republicans fought for Wall Street banks, corporations and old, regressive,
out-of-date policies, and Democrats fought for Labor, civil & economic
justice and progressive policies.
I’ve never done this before, but I’m just going to post
Truman’s 1952 speech (in full) and an excerpt from the one in 1948.
Please read them. I think you’ll think you’re experiencing déjÃ
vu all over again for the first time, once more.

Twitter Fight!
So, I got into my first “conversation/argument” on Twitter.
I don’t like it.
All you readers out there in the wasteland, you know me. You’ve been reading my rants for a little over a year and a half now. I give a lot of information all at once (sometimes too much), often to multiple people simultaneously. I can’t argue within 140 characters, one person at a time. Hell, I can’t keep up with all the tangential conversations leading off the original.
No. I just can’t.
I'm not even sure if this is where the conversation started.
Here’s my story as it unfolded.

Health Issues
Last summer, the Supreme Court deemed Obama’s Affordable
Care Act (Obamacare) to be Constitutional. But that didn’t stop Republican
Governors from refusing to implement this Republican-developed plan in their
states.
This conversation, I think, is the most reality denying-est
one I’ve ever been involved in. No matter what I say or prove or disprove or
provide information directly from the source for – it is denied, ignored or
laughed at as being crazy. And then dump trucks full of bullshit are emptied
out all over the conversation and touted as fragrant petunias.
Ah, Republicans (I mean, professed non-partisans), the bubble in which you live is so
impenetrable.
I apologize for the length of this post, but hey, I haven't posted anything in over a month, so I'm actually under my monthly word quota.

Science, Bitches!
I’m no scientist, but here’s what scientists say. You can
either put your faith in them, or in the magic genies that were invented
thousands of years ago by, let’s face it, really ignorant people.
Some of this stuff is from comedians, but frankly, I also
give significantly more credence to their insights than I do the magic genies.
And some others are my own information-based opinions.
Also more credible than the idea that "a magic genie did it."

Trust Issues
A little pre-election banter
between bubble-dwellers and reality-enjoyers regarding one of the presidential
debates.
If you’re not interested in
reading it, let me sum up the conversation:
“A simple observation is stated.”
“Bullshit is smeared over the
observation.”
“Facts are introduced, backed up
with references.”
“Facts and references are ignored.
More bullshit is produced. No references cited.”
“More facts with references are
presented.”
“Denial of facts. Laughter.
Insults. No counter argument or references presented.”
Or, you could just enjoy the real
thing…
